Skip Away filly

“Skippy” is the first foal out of our mare Southern Meeting, a well-bred daughter of General Meeting. Former Horse of the Year Skip Away is a solid sire and we’re tickled to have one of his daughters in our stable.
We sold this filly at the Barretts Sale in November 2008.
Southern Meeting
6-year-old broodmare by General Meeting out of Mi Antillana (Arg), by Bid UsSouthern Meeting foaled a gorgeous Decarchy filly on April 10th. Both mare and foal are doing great. The mare has been bred back to graded stakes winner and sire Good Journey and declared in foal.We sold this mare at the Barretts Sale in November 2008.
Rachel’s Verdict (GB)
Rachel’s Verdict is a 7-year-old mare by European Champion Royal Applause, the sire of millionaire Ticker Tape. The first dam is by English Champion Shadeed, sire of Belmont third Alydeed among his best U.S. runners. The mare is a half-sister to stakes-placed Street Code and $193,208 winner Chan. The second dam is $200,500 stakes winner Frederick Street, the producer of 7 stakes horses and granddam of millionaires Magna Graduate and Dollar Bill. She’s a half-sister to $366,013 winner Our Emblem, sire of near Triple Crown winner War Emblem.She is in foal to graded-stakes placed winner Cocky, from the prominent Ribot sire line.We sold this mare at the Tulsa Racing Breed Sale in November.
Turnleftatthelight
RACE RECORD: 27 STARTS 5-3-4 $72,786
Turnleftatthelight is a four-year-old son of successful sire Mutakddim out of a Judge TC mare. TLATL is a young, hard knocking sort who has tried a variety of distances and surfaces. He’ll be racing primary in Texas for us.
We sold our stake in our 2008 stakes-placed stable star at a profit and wish him all the best of luck with his current owners.
Arizona Diamond
RACE RECORD: 5 STARTS 0-1-1 $2,550
Three-year-old filly by Lexicon out of Pat on the Back, by Unreal Zeal. Lexicon was a grade II winner of $820,965 on the track and is off to a good start at stud. Diamond’s dam is a winning daughter of Unreal Zeal. Diamond is a half-sister to $200,000-plus stakes winner Jimmy O and another winner of over $100,000.
After two very disappointing efforts at the bottom at Emerald Downs, Diamond was sold to interests who will race her on the Oregon fair circuit and provide a good home for her after her racing days are over.
Redseasalt

This big, well-balanced three-year-old filly is by grade I stakes winner Salt Lake, a top sire with 64 stakes winners and over $55 million in progeny earnings. She’s out of an unraced Thunder Gulch mare. Thunder Gulch was a Champion three-year-old after winning the Kentucky Derby. A former leading national sire, he’s sired 69 stakes winners and earners of $66 million.The first dam is a half-sister to Sincerely, a $322,527 grade III stakes winner and grade II stakes producer. The second dam is a $192,513 stakes winner. There is another cross of the mare’s family with Thunder Gulch and it produced grade I stakes placed Thunder Days. The third dam, Furl Sail, was the country’s 1967 Champion three-year-old filly.
RSS ran another big race, going wire-to-wire in winning her second straight and this one against the boys. Unfortunately the filly was claimed away from us.
Every Time

Every Time was recently picked up through private purchase. He’s a four-year-old son of nationally ranked sire Unbridled’s Song out of the Storm Cat mare Every Cloud. The first dam is a full-sister to grade I stakes winner Missed the Storm and grade 3 stakes winner Green Means Go. This is the family of Champions Chris Evert, Chief’s Crown and Winning Colors and millionaires Sightseek, Tates Creek and Bowman’s Band.
ET ran a disappointing 7th in his final start for HRC as he was claimed away from us. He didn’t show much speed, made a big move on the outside around the turn and then hung in the stretch. We wish his new owners the best of luck in pulling the potential out of this impeccably bred horse.
Miss Rain Dance

Three-year-old filly by Changeintheweather out of A Kiss A Dance, by Majestic Light.This Oklahoma-bred filly is by $441,247 grade I winner Changeintheweather, a son of Gone West. He was the mid-Atlantic’s leading second crop sire last year and sired stakes winner Cold Trial.The filly is out of a Majestic Light mare. Majestic light sired 69 stakes winners and has progeny earnings of over $36 million. The mare has produced three good winners and is out of $205,116 stakes winner Half Time Dancer, by classic winner Gate Dancer. The second dam produced a $100,000 winner and is a full sister to a track record setter and two other stakes horses from a mare who produced 7 winners of $85,000 or more.Miss Rain Dance is being trained by Shane Seaton and his father-in-law Ricky Gustafson, one of the most respected trainers on the Oklahoma circuit.
Sadly, Miss Rain Dance passed away from complications of colic in July 2009.
Siberian Empress

Siberian Empress is back in foal to AP Thunder.

The second dam is by chef-de-race sire Roberto and is a half sister to $564,950 grade I winner Journey at Sea. There are many quality black-type winners in the family of this impressive looking Kentucky-bred son of major sire Bandini.
Bandit ran a well-beaten fifth in his last start at Portland Meadows. We expected him to hit the board on the class drop and stretchout in this spot, so we’re disappointed.
Da Bomb

Three-year-old California-bred daughter of Comic Strip out of Breanna, by Mr Procrastinator.This consistent, hard-knocker is racing in California under the care of Genaro Vallejo.
This sharp filly ran fifth for us in her only HRC start, as she was claimed away in her debut for us.
Fashion Candy

Candy is an unraced three-year-old filly by undefeated Champion Candy Ride. The world record holder at a mile, Candy Ride was the country’s 3rd leading freshman sire last year. This Florida-bred filly is out of the $114,060 stakes winning mare Fashion Maven, by Mt Livermore. She’s produced four good winners, including two $100,000 earners. The second dam is by chef-de-race Raise a Native and the third by chef-de-race Prince John. This is the family of graded stakes horses Arowal, Crown Collection, Afleetafair and Crown the Leader.
After a number of minor setbacks, we moved off this well-bred daughter of Candy Ride to pursue other options for our Florida group.
Gavin Slew

Three-year-old colt by Slew City Slew out of Merry Dream, by Basket Weave
Gavin ran 7th in his most recent start on the drop at Portland. He raced back in the field early, made up some ground around the turn and just didn’t have the needed punch down the stretch in a dull effort.
Gavin was given away after his last start and is enjoying a new home with a friendly family.
Delegocho

Four-year-old gelding by Ochoco out of La Delegada, by Lac Ouimet.
Our stakes-placed four-year-old won two of three starts at Emerald Downs, including a smart win by nearly 3 lengths in his most recent. This handsome chestnut is pointing towards stakes and allowance company at Portland, where he’ll stand tall against Oregon-bred company.
As a tribute to his fine 2008 season that included several stakes placings early in the year at Portland Meadows and two wins from three starts later at Emerald Downs, including a feature race score, Delegocho was recognized as Oregon’s top three-year-old colt or gelding of 2008.
Delegocho was claimed away from us in his last start, a sixth place finish at Portland.
Matty G’s Kid (2009 two-year-old)
Matty is a two-year-old Pennsylvania-bred son of Matty G out Montbrooke Belle, by Montbrook.Matty G, now the top sire in Washington, has sired 8 stakes winners including millionaire My Cousin Matt. This big and strong colt is out of a winning Montbrook mare from a super family. The second is a stakes-placed winner by Vigors and the third dam, by Seattle Slew, is a half-sister to grade I stakes winner Bounding Basque and grade II stakes winner El Basio.
MGK was sold privately after several slow workouts.

Four-year-old filly by Golden Missile out of Captiva Cat, by Tale of the Cat
We’re thrilled to have this well-bred filly in the stable. She’s by Golden Missile, who stood for $10,000 in Kentucky this year. He won $2.1 million on the track and is a son of AP Indy. He’s sired 7 stakes winners in his first four crops, including several graded stakes winners. She’s out of a $95,000 winning Tale of the Cat mare.
Despite her great pedigre, GTOT never developed as a racehorse and we gave her away.
Her younger half-sister, Eve Giselle, is a stakes star!
Jesse’s Dance

Jesse’s Dance is a three-year-old Washington-bred filly by Decarchy, California’s leading sophomore stallion. She’s out of a $43,000 winner and full sister to $369,000 stakes winner Go.
Jesse was outrun in her only start after several slow workouts. As it was clear she wouldn’t be able to pay her way on the racetrack, she was sold.
Hidinginthebarrel

Hiding in the Barrel is a three-year-old Illinois-bred filly by Out of Place out of stakes-placed Barrel Racer, by Western Playboy.This big and strong filly comes from three generations of stakes mares. The first dam earned $111,888 and earned stakes placing at Arlington and never ran for a tag. Her half-brother won over $187,000. The second dam, Miss Delovely, was a stakes winner of $212,170. The third dam, Miss Delilah, was a stakes winner of $104,537.The filly is by solid Kentucky Sire Out of Place, a sire of five stakes winners last year. He was a graded stakes winner of $733,450 on the track and he’s sired 37 stakes winners so far, including millionaire Nightmare Affair.
Another well-bred filly who simply didn’t display her class on the racetrack. She was traded for another prospect.
Veillit
RACE RECORD: 22 STARTS 7-7-2 $77,910
We claimed this filly out of a winning effort at Golden Gate. She’s by grade I Eclipse Award winner Lit de Justice out of a Cure the Blues mare. She’s in the barn of Jeff Metz.
Veillit won her one and only start for HRC, as she was claimed away from us in her first start off the claim.
She broke well, stalked the pace and outdueled the leaders down the stretch in winning by a long neck at Hollywood in a thrilling race.
She’s in great form and we’ll really miss her.
You Who Miss
RACE RECORD: 13 STARTS 2-3-1 $19,091
You Who Miss is a four-year-old California-bred daughter of grade III stakes winner Roman Dancer out of stakes winner Miss Indiana, by Clever Trick.This is the family of graded stakes horses Fortunate Prospect, Robynhood, $2.4 million winner Mecke and champion older mare $2.7 winner Beautiful Pleasure.You Who is in the barn of northern California trainer Genaro Vallejo.
You Who ran sixth in her last start. She mad a big, sweeping move on the turn to reach contention, but then started drifting out in midstretch and lost position. The jock eased her up in the last 50 yards and she came out of the race with a knee injury. After this career-ending injury, she was retired to be a pleasure horse.
Go Girl Gone
Our 15-year-old mare won over $43,000 on the track and is by good sire Hooched. She’s a full sister to $369,000 stakes winner Go out of the stakes winning Gummo mare named Go Gummo Go.She foaled a handsome Demon Warlock colt, now named Sevon Demons, in mid-April. Both mare and foal are doing great. Go Girl Gone was sold privately shortly after the foal was born.
Siberian Summer two-year-old filly
This gray filly is by good California sire Siberian Summer out of our mare Rachel’s Verdict. The graded-stakes winning sire won over $500,000 and has sired many graded stakes winners including millionaire Dreams of Summer. The dam is by European Champion Royal Applause, sire of millionaire Ticker Tape. The second dam is a $200,000 stakes winner and producer of 7 stakes horses. She’s the granddam of millionaires Dollar Bill and Magna Graduate. The third dam is a half-sister to Our Emblem, sire of War Emblem.
The filly was sold by our pinhooking group as a two-year-old.
Spring Run
RACE RECORD: 17 STARTS 1-3-3 $11,491
Spring Run is a four-year-old California-bred filly by $888,000 grade I stakes winner Avanzado out of a stakes placed mare. We recently bought her through private purchase.She’s bred to go long and should do well on grass. She’s got the sort of pedigree that should result in a sound horse than runs for several years.
Spring Run ran fifth in her last start. She pressed the pace and dropped off contention around the turn in a disappointing effort.
The filly was given away after her last start as her form really fell off and she simply didn’t have the pedigree power to be a broodmare prospect for us.
Northern Cowboy two-year-old colt
We scored on this big, strong two-year-old colt by North Light. North Light, an English Classic winner, earned nearly $2 million including the Epsom Derby and runner up in the Irish Derby. He’s by chef-de-race Danehill.
This Texas-bred colt’s dam is a $75,000 winner by Jade Hunter our of a stakes winning Danzig mare who produced six stakes horses, including three graded stakes performers.
Our colt’s half-sister sold for $210,000 in April and recently broke her maiden smartly in her second start for Bob Baffert against Maiden Special company at Santa Anita.
He was initially pointed towards a pinhook, but didn’t meet the reserve. He was later sold at auction.
Danceuponthestars

This five-year-old California-bred colt is by Momentum, a $660,000 graded stakes winning son of Nureyez. He’s California’s leading freshman sire and has two new track record setters in his first cropHe’s out of a sharp winning daughter of millionaire Event of the Year. This is the young mare’s first foal. Lots of stakes horses under the first two dams and three graded stakes horses under the third dam.
Dance was a hard luck fifth, beaten just a length, in his last race at Golden Gate. He sat back early and came flying late.

RACE RECORD: 13 STARTS 2-6-2 $28,056
This four-year-old California-bred filly is by graded stakes winner Popular out of Innocence, by Cox’s Ridge.
Most Pop ran third in her most recent start as the 4-5 odds on favorite at Golden Gate. She broke well, but was pulled about five lengths off the pace and while she rallied down the stretch, fell about a half-length shy at the finish in a less than desirable ride.
She was sold privately after her last start.
Louisiana Light
Louisiana Light is a Louisiana-bred two-year-old filly by millionaire Tenpins out of a $42,639 winning Bianconi mare.Tenpins ranks in the country’s top 25 second-crop sires with four stakes horses from his first crop. The second dam is a stakes-placed winner by Silver Deputy and the stakes-winning third dam is a half-sister to $622,906 graded-stakes winner Robyn Dancer.
The filly was sold at auction.
No Caller ID (2010 three-year-old)

She’s by a stakes winner son of Eastern Echo, sire of 8 stakes winners King of Scat. She’s out of a winning daughter of Is It True. Her second dam is a half sister to two stakes winners, including group winner Valuable Witness. The third dam is by legendary Northern Dancer.
No Caller ID finished seventh in her career start. She blew the first turn and managed to stay in contention for 6 of the 8 furlongs before fading down the stretch.
She was sold privately after two disappointing efforts at Aqueduct.
My Man Jake (2010 three-year-old)

This New York-bred three-year-old colt is by the state’s top sire Freud. A sire of five 2008 stakes winners, Freud is a full brother to top national sire Giant’s Causeway. Freud’s yearlings averaged over $30,000 at sale last year.Jake is out of an unraced Cryptoclearance mare. Cryptoclearance is a grade I winner and grade I sire. The dam has produced three New York winners, including current campaigners including $60,000 winner Waltz to the Blues and a 2008 MSW winner at Aqueduct.The bottom side of this pedigree is highlighted by the third dam, a Storm Bird mare (sire of Storm Cat) who produced a nice stakes winner and a stakes producer and the fourth dam, by chef-de-race sire Round Table. This dam has produced 12 graded stakes horses including three-time national Champion Tosmah and leading national sire Halo.
Jake was sold privately prior to his debut.
Huntersrunaway
RACE RECORD: 20 STARTS 6-4-2 $104,090
Huntersrunaway is a four-year-old Texas-bred son of Hollycombe out of the Runaway Groom mare Runaway Nancy.As a rapidly improving three-year-old on the Texas racing circuit, we recently purchased a stake in Hunter through his owner/trainer Danny Pish, one of the top conditioners in the region.Hunter loves to route and has a great record going long, including a recent fast closing second place finish in the $125,000 Texas Stallion Stakes.
Hunter ran another awesome race in his last, getting up in the final jump to win by a head in tough Allowance company at Lone Star.
This was up against a solid field of veteran stakes and allowance company horses going a flat mile on the grass. It might be Hunter’s best effort to date.
Sadly, Huntersrunaway passed away suddenly a few days after his last race. He suffered an aneurysm and died in Danny’s barn.
Wild Hunter
RACE RECORD: 21 STARTS 2-3-2 $31,339
Wild Hunter is a five-year-old son of Jade Hunter out of a Wild Again mare. His sire, Jade Hunter, is the sire of such notable horses like $4,079,820 Breeder’s Cup winner Azeri, million dollar winner Yagli, winner of $916,175 Stuka, etc. The dam is by Breeder’s Cup classic winner Wild Again and has produced a $130,000-plus winner Minnesota Pitch and several other good winners. The second dam, a daughter of Le Febuleux, has produced two stakes winners and the third dam, a stakes-winner herself, produced four stakes horses including $504,519 graded winner Crackedbell. This is the family of $946,190 grade 2 winner Gene’s Lady.
Hunter ran 11th in his most recent and last start for HRC. He showed some early speed, but quickly dropped out of it in another dull effort. His racing days with us are over.
Daniel’s Magic
RACE RECORD: 21 STARTS 3-0-1 $37,386
Daniel’s Magic is an Illinois-bred four-year-old colt by millionaire Western Playboy out of the Cryptoclearance mare Chiawa. The second dam is a stakes-winner by chef-de-race Vice Regent and the third is likewise a stakes-winner.
DM ran fourth in his most recent effort. He was well back early, closed some ground but was unable to threaten the leaders.
Daniel’s Magic was sold privately shortly after this last race with us.
Raging Silver
The first foal from HRC mare Daleo’s Angel, this cute and bouncy three-year-old filly is by Rage, a $180,000 stakes-placed son of Gulch. Royally-bred and a speedy sort who tore up New York in his heyday, Rage is by $3 million winner Gulch out of $822,948 GI stakes winner Waya.Daleo’s Angel is our young broodmare by classic winner and Champion Silver Charm. This gray mare is out of stakes-winning mare A Northern Angel out of a chef-de-race Sir Ivor mare. The second dam is a half-sister to $695,930 grade I winner At the Threshold and $510,675 grade II winner Zabaleta.
Raging Silver was removed from training and sold as a polo horse prospect.
Brite Bobby
RACE RECORD: 57 STARTS 9-9-10 $189,849
Eight-year-old California-bred gelding by High Brite out of Bobbie Jane, by Moscow Ballet.Bobby is a classy, older horse who has won some good races in his time. He loves the synthetics, likes turf racing, but despises dirt surfaces, finishing off the board in his last 5 dirt tries.
Bobby ran another solid race in his last effort, finishing third at Golden Gate. He broke well, but was outrun for the early lead. He pushed the pace, but was unable to close ground down the lane and was beaten about two lengths. He was claimed away from us out of the race.
Above the Beyond
RACE RECORD: 5 STARTS 0-0-0 $525
Above the Beyond is a Massachusetss-bred four-year-old colt by graded stakes winner Mayakovsky out of a winning Pentelicus mare.
“Bullwinkle” was up the track again in his last start, this time on the big class drop.
My Bright Caroline

My Bright Caroline is a big, strong Cal-bred four-year-old filly by High Brite out of a $142,000 stakes-placed Mi Cielo mare.High Brite was a grade II stakes winner of $1.1 million and sired atleast 44 stakes winners and earners of over $34 million.
Caroline ran a good second at Hollywood in her most recent start, rallying form the off the pace to get up just in time for the place spot. Suprisingly, she was claimed away from us.
Still Running Stag

This Texas-bred is by $1.6 million grade II stakes winner Running Stag out of a winning Leo Castelli mare. The gelding is a half-brother to stakes-placed April’s Picture.
Stag was beaten 9 lengths in his last start after breaking slow. He needs to get on track in order to move forward.
Sweetcottonkandie

This three-year-old Florida bred is in the barn of Jeff Metz in southern California. She’s by High Cotton, a graded stakes winner whose first crop of babies at the races this year are doing fantastic. He ranks 8th on the national freshman sire list is the sire of grade I Hopeful winner Currency Swap.The filly is out of a winning End Sweep mare and is a half sister to a $45,096 stakes-placed colt and another winner over $180,000. The first dam is a half-sis to graded stakes winner of $729,888 Arch Hall.
Kandie was up the track again in her most recent start and we’ll be pulling the plug on her racing career.

We claimed this one out of a winning effort at Hollywood, her fourth score in a row.She’s an older mare by Mr Broad Blade out of a Prized mare.
Twodollars ran last in what was likely the final race of her career as it appears she’s lost the desire to compete.
Silverport

We’re really excited about this one. This striking filly is by graded stakes-winner Rockport Harbor. He was the country’s 7th leading freshman sire and is 6th on the national second-crop sire list.We purchased this filly privately after the Barretts Sale at a big discount to his two-year-old sales average of $80,000.The filly is out of a winning and producing Silver Deputy mare, who is a half-sister to a $160,000 stakes-placed winner and out of a $134,000 stakes-winning Nasty and Bold mare.She’s in the barn of Armando Lage.
Silverport ran third in her last start as the odds-on favorite at Golden Gate. She broke slower than usual and took several strides to gain momentum after flashing keen speed in previous starts. She gained a threatening position turning for home, but flattened out late.
Victoriously

This six-year-old Kentucky bred filly was claimed by us at Pleasanton for southern California.She’s by grade I winning millionaire The Cliff’s Edge out of a $159,090 stakes-placed mare. The second dam was a $236,944 stakes-winner and produced two additional stakes-placed winners over $150,000 each.She’s in the barn of trainer Jeff Metz.
The filly ran fifth in her last start, a 4 1/2 furlong dash at Los Alimitos. She was outsprinted early, tried coming around horses and the wide trip likely cost her a few placings.
She was claimed out of the race from us.
Two Violins

Two Violins is a six-year-old Florida-bred sprinter who fires nothing but bullets with a high win percentage and nearly 60% in the exacta.A son of three Wonders, he’s in the barn of Jeff Metz.
Two Violins ran a good third in his most recent start at Turf Paradise, but was claimed away from us unexpectedly.
Cosset
RACE RECORD: 15 STARTS 1-3-4 $74,935
Cosset is a five-year-old daughter of Mizzen Mast, a grade I winner and high quality sire. She’s out of a Machiavellian mare from a strong family.
The filly ran last in her most recent start. She battled through very fast fractions early, still had the lead turning for home and held on well until the eighth pole and then faded.
The Deuce is Loose

Deuce ran second in his sole HRC start as he was claimed in his first start off the claim from us.
He nearly went wire-to-wire in his race at Fair Grounds, getting worn down just at the wire.
Goldandsilver

Goldandsilver is a Texas-bred three-year-old homebred by Gold Legend out of our Silver Charm mare Daleo’s Angel.Gold Legend is by Triple Crown winner Seattle Slew out of Champion Gold Beauty. He’s been one of Texas’ leading sires for years. Our colt is big, well-boned dark brown colt who will likely turn gray like his dam.
GAS was claimed away from us in his last start. In that race, he was closer to the pace early than usual and he retreated throughout, beaten over 15 lengths at the wire.
Ford’s Cat

We purchased this five-year-old Texas-bred colt privately. He’s by a son of Storm Cat, Karen’s Cat out of a Hawk Attack mare from the immediate family of grade I winners JO Tobin and Mysterious.This big, lanky chestnut has a good way of going and appears to have a bright future. He’s in the barn of Shannon Hastings.
Ford’s Cat was dull in his return to the races, trailing throughout against a modest field at Houston. He’ll need to pick it up next time out.
AP Thunder-Siberian Empress yearling colt
Our first foal of 2011 is this handsome colt by AP Thunder, a son of Thunder Gulch, out of Siberian Empress. The Oklahoma-bred colt should love the turf when he grows up.
The colt will eventually be in the barn of Shannon Hastings.
Commuter
RACE RECORD: 11 STARTS 1-2-5 $11,428
We purchased this four-year-old Washington-bred privately after his first three races at Golden Gate. He’s by promising young sire Private Gold out of a Country Light mare. He’s a half-brother to $169,000 winner Soft Lite.
Commuter suffered a bowed tendon in his most recent start and has been retired from racing. It’s a shame as he was such a consistent, hard-trying type and had run a good really good races in a row.
Roman Ruler yearling filly
This filly was purchased from the January Keeneland sale for the sole purpose of pinhooking her in July or September. She’s a big, striking daughter of grade II winning millionaire Roman Ruler.As a young sire, he ranked second nationally on the third crop sire list in 2011. He sired five stakes winner last year, including Belmont winner and millionaire Ruler on Ice.This Ontario-bred filly is out of a stakes-placed winner of $124,258. She’s a half-sister to two stakes horses each over $200,000. The second and third dams were also stakes winners.
The filly sold at a loss. We think that Roman Ruler’s flat year and the lack of progression from the dam’s side were the main contributors.
Bee Eff Eff

Our former HRC mare Southern Meeting’s second foal is a beautiful four-year-old filly by Decarchy, a solid young sire. Southern Meeting is by General Meeting out of a stakes-winning dam, so this filly has some solid credentials in her pedigree.
Bee Eff Eff has been retired from racing after suffering another tendon injury.
Winter Warlock

Our first homebred stakes winner, Winter Warlock is a big, strong Washington-bred four-year-old by Washington Champion Demon Warlock out of our stakes-winning mare Royal Snowflight.
Winter ran a super second in his most recent start at Golden Gate, stalking the early pace, taking the lead turning for home and just failing to last.
Most unfortunately, Winter was recently put down after suffering from a rapidly progression of laminitis. This horse with the hear of a champion will be sorely missed.
Boogie to Seattle
RACE RECORD: 9 STARTS 1-1-1 $12,567
Boogie to Seattle is arguably the best pedigree in the stable. She’s by grade I winner of $1.7 million Bluegrass Cat out of an Unbridled’s Song mare. The four-year-old filly is a half-sister to a $241,000 stakes winner. The second dam was a $945,000 grade I stakes winner.
Boogie was retired from racing after developing as a three-year-old. She was a special two-year-old, but failed to repeat that good form.
She sold in foal to Big Brown at the November 2012 Keeneland sale.
Adam’s Time

Adam’s Time is a high-quality broodmare. She’s a big, Kentucky-bred mare by grade I winning Champion Gilded Time, who sired 58 stakes winners and earners of $47 million.The mare won or placed in six stakes and has produced four winners from six starters by the likes of Tale of the Cat and Smart Strike.The first dam is a winner by Turkoman and produced another stakes horse and stakes producer. The second dam is by chef-de-race sire Graustark and produced four stakes horses, two of them grade II stakes winners. The third dam is a full-sister to chef-de-race Roberto.
Adam’s Time foaled a healthy Closing Argument filly on April 29th in Illinois. Closing Argument has been a top-10 sire in his class each of his first three years at stud.
The mare is in foal grade I winner Student Council. She has been sold privately.

Ultimate Decision ran second in his only HRC start, first off the claim, at Hollywood. We took him out of his previous race at $20,000 and he ran second at $25,000 and was claimed away. It was a short, but good run with him.

Birdie is a three-year-old son of Game Plan out of a winning Wild Deputy mare. We claimed Birdie and he went back to the barn of Ed Moger who lost him in his big maiden score.
Birdie ran fifth, beaten four lengths, in his most recent start at Pleasanton. He moved up around the turn to be in striking distance, but was flat down the lane. He was claimed away from us out of the race, too.
Make Mine Remy

Synergetic died suddenly in his pasture, likely due to rapid colic or a cardiac event. It was a stunning blow for this promising youngster.

Favor is a Kentucky-bred daughter of Eavesdropper out of a Regal Intention mare. She’s a stalking sprinter who has strung a couple very strong races together. We claimed her at Fair Grounds and she’s now in the barn of trainer Sam Breaux.
Favor was outrun in a fifth place finish in her first start for us off the claim at Fair Grounds. The race was developed slowly and that hurt our stretch runner’s chances. She was claimed away from us, as well.
Candy’s sunrise

Kingston ran a great race for us first off the claim, leading nearly all the way in a mid-level sprint at Fair Grounds. She lost the win photo by a head and was unfortunately claimed away from us.
Richmar

Richmar is a 7-year-old gelding by Lone Star Sky out of a Devil’s Bag mare. He’s a fast and talented sprinter who has run some very fast races in his career. He’s struggled with soundness issues, but we rolled the dice and claimed him at Delta. He’s in the barn of Sam Breaux now.
Richmar ran another good race, finishing second at Evangeline in his most recent start. He was claimed away from us in this one. He ran three very good races in the short time we had him.

Idefromthebayou is a 7-year-old Louisiana-bred son of Ide out of a Seattle Song mare. This former stakes winner likes going long and is adept at both dirt and turf. He’s in the barn of trainer Danny Pish now.
In his first start off the claim, Idefromthebayou hopped at the start to be away 3-4 lengths behind the field. He got a patient ride and was allowed to settle and move his way up slowly. He came flying down the lane and finished fast to get third. Unfortunately, he was claimed away from us.

Demonaire was a dull fourth in her most recent race at Portland after racing wide on the turn and running flat down the lane. Hopefully it’s a toss out race and she can bounce back next time. She has been sold privately.

Stakes winner Reasonably Royal is a broodmare by Petersburg out of stakes winner Royal Touch, by Royal Knight.On the racetrack, Reasonably Royal was a stakes winner of $60,664. She won or placed in nine small stakes. All six of her starters have won with several useful winners near $50,000 in earnings.
Her daughter Royal Snowflight was a minor stakes winner and is the producer of Winter Warlock, our homebred stakes winner. He’s by Washington Champion and red hot sire Demon Warlock, so this is the same family cross. She produced her final foal, a Demon Warlock filly, this year.

We’re thrilled to have Maxie back in the HRC stable. We bought her as a yearling and raced her until claimed away from us as a three-year-old. As a two-year-old, she won her first three starts for us, including a nice open Allowance score at Emerald Downs. She completed her racing career with a stakes placing at Portland Meadows before retiring.
Maxie’s first baby, Maximatic, broke his maiden against MSWs in his second try at Portland. Her second foal, winner Nosetodagrindstone, won three races at Emerald in his sophomore season and was stakes-placed at Portland Meadows. Her last two two-year-olds both broke their maidens at Emerald.
She’s in foal to red hot Abraaj this year.

Spring was 7th in her most race at Golden Gate, likely her last as she’s fallen off form and hasn’t run a good race in months.

Graded stakes-winner Private Gold is the sire of Maxie’s Night Cap’s first filly after three straight colts. This big foal is an impressive looking filly and if she picks up the best attributes from the sire and dam, would be an outstanding race horse.
Goldi ran a good second in her last start, rallying around the turn to make the lead in upper stretch and just not able to hold off the odds-on favorite in deep stretch.
Sienna Ridge

We purchased this filly by Discreet Cat at the Barrett’s Sale. She is by $1.6 million dollar grade I winner Discreet Cat out of an unraced Medaglia d’Oro mare from a black-type family. Discreet Cat is the country’s third leading third crop sire this year.
Sienna ran a disappointing sixth in her last race at Golden Gate in her last race. It was a spot we thought she might win, so we were bummed with the results.
Sienna was sold privately after her last race. It’s our understanding that she’ll be bred in Kentucky and with her strong pedigree, we’re confident she’ll be a productive broodmare for her new connections.

Most unfortunately, a nasty hoof infection prematurely took the life of the delightful filly.

Traiteuse is a well-bred filly by Warrior’s Reward out of a Street Cry mare. The sire was a grade I winner and one of the country’s top second-crop sires. The filly is from a solid black-type families with a European Champion up close. The filly will race on the southern California circuit for trainer Adam Kitchingman.
The filly ran a disappointing fifth in her last race, beaten double digits in a poor effort.
Katillac Charm

We claimed this Oklahoma-bred homebred back at Gulfstream after losing him via claiming earlier in his career. He’s a big, strong son of Tactical Cat out of our Silver Charm mare. He’s currently in the Gulfstream barn of Jena Antonucci and will be heading to Danny Pish’s barn at Remington.
Katillac was very game in a second place effort in his last start at Delta. He got hooked early and battled for 6 furlongs, just missing by a half-length to the heavy favorite. cc improve on him and get him into the winning habit.
Sugar was fourth in her last start at Delta, rallying down the lane but not able to make much impact. She did get claimed out of the race at a level higher than we’d claimed him at two starts back.
Butcher

The filly was fourth and claimed away in her first start for us off the claim. In that race at Del Mar, she stalked the pace and looked like the potential winner at the 3/8ths pole, then tired down the lane.

Trainingat the Bar
RACE RECORD: 9 STARTS 5-0-1 $43,020
Trainingat the Bar is a young mare by Valid Wager out of the Marquetry mare Lady Lamar. TATB retired from a short, but successful racing career where she won more than half her starts. Due to a ongoing knee issue, she was retired prematurely after winning a minor stakes event at Emerald Downs.
Her first foal. Redsolocup, is a stakes winner after taking down the Chinook Pass at Emerald in a rapid 1:14 2/5. She foaled a Vronsky colt in Arizona in 2015 and a full sister to the above-mentioned stakes winner in 2016.
Royal Snowflight
Royal Snowflight was a two-time stakes winner on the race track. She’s a big, strong and attractive mare who flashed good speed on the track. She’s out of the mare Reasonably Royal, who was a $60,000 stakes winner herself.
Snowflight’s first starter was stakes winner Winter Warlock, who took down the $50,000 Premio Esmeralda at Emerald Downs and won over $100,000 before laminitis took him down. She’s had babies by quality sires Old Fashioned, Kodiak Kowboy, Graydar and foaled a Cross Traffic filly in February 2017.
Thrillagee

Another Winter

Our first foal of 2012, this filly is by Washington Champion and top young regional sire Demon Warlock out of stakes winner Royal Snowflight, making her a full-sister to our homebred stakes-winner Winter Warlock.
Winter was fourth in her seasonal debut at Emerald, making the early lead, but not able to hold on as the beaten favorite. She got claimed out of the race, too.
Satin Bouquet

Satin Bouquet is a daughter of Travers winner and Breeder’s Cup Classic runner-up Flower Alley, sire of I’ll Have Another. The filly is out of a Giant’s Causeway mare that’s loaded with stakes horses.
Satin foaled a handsome Champ Pegasus colt, a Washington-bred, in early 2016. She’ls in foal to red hot Abraaj this year.
Wicked Laugh

This big filly comes from the same cross as homebred stakes-winner Winter Warlock as she’s by Demon Warlock out of Reasonably Royal, the granddam of Winter Warlock.
Wicked was 7th in her first race against winners last time out at Emerald after racing wide. She’ll need a better trip and softer company next time out.
Redsolocup

Redsolocup is a Washington-bred homebred by Demon Warlock out of our mare Trainingat the Bar. He’s won the $50,000 Chinook Pass at Emerald as well as a few other stakes placings.
Redsolo was last in his most recent start against a solid Allowance Optional field at Emerald. He broke well, sat in a stalking position and just wasn’t able to make up ground down the lane.
Redsolo came out of his last race unsound and he’s been retired to a good home at Warlock Stables in Spokane.

The filly is in the barn of Danny Pish and is already a black-type filly with a second in the $75,000 Happy Ticket at Louisiana Downs to her credit.
Glitter was fifth as the beaten favorite in her most recent start at Evangeline and claimed away from us. She bobbled at the break to get away last, made a nice move around the turn, had to change paths in the upper stretch, but didn’t rally late like she had in her previous win when she exploded late.
She’s been a nice filly for us and we’ll miss her.

In his first start off the claim, Wickets was a very disappointing 7th in a dull effort at Delta, never threatening. He was claimed back away from us and maybe for the better.
